talk area is an app that permits you to do therapy …Does Betterhelp Work?…like online like on with an app it allows you to do therapy with it that makes great sense it is a online service that AHS you get therapy instead of having to go in and speak to somebody face to face you can do it online with the convenience of your phone or your laptop but I personally use the app and I wished to give you a bit of my opinion about it due to the fact that I hear with no subscribers you understand I’m not sponsored by anyone and I wish to offer you my honest opinion of it um and I think that it’s actually good to have more on sponsored opinions or like people who aren’t I have no reason to inform you anything about it if it’s not real so that’s what I’m gon na be doing today and I hope you enjoy this so let’s start so I’m gon na keep holding up my phone as a prop so talk space essentially is an app that you can download in the App Store and then you need to do a membership service to it so you have to have it for a month I think or longer than that and what it permits you to do is it permits you to talk with a therapist without having to discover the therapist like in your location without having to drop in what someone personally you can do it in your house and it allows you to text the therapist and then you can have live sessions those live sessions include you talking generally like you would in a typical treatment session and the

texting is it’s just that you can text them sort of whenever you have thoughts whenever you have ideas whenever you’re considering things you want to you can talk about it with your therapist type of immediately and after that I think a great part about that is if you have a thought kind of mid week or whenever you know you aren’t going to be talking to your therapist that day and even if you are if you simply wish to remember what you’re believing you can text it to them and you can tell them what’s on your mind and I believe it can be really practical for people with anxiety or with anxiety with journalism of ideas it sort of gives you a fast outlet for those things and possibly they do not develop in in your mind as much as they may if you have to wait you know a week to inform your therapist about something so I think that’s really cool I actually like it for that I would state that’s a big professional um I would state a con related to that same thing is that things just take a lot longer to speak about if you pick to text them about it so if I want to say I’m feeling this way you understand I believe it’s because of this or this they may say oh well do you consider this this this whatever however that’s gon na be a little bit longer um one thing to note is that the therapists inspect there the message location where you put the message like your their inbox I think I don’t know what they call it they check that two times a day or a minimum of my therapist told me that she inspects hardest two times a day so in that regard you’re gon na.

get about 2 responses a day about like certainly if you’re probably having like a crisis and they have a moment they can probably assist you however it’s not like they’re just lingering for you to message due to the fact that generally they do a lot of these people seem to have perhaps not practices but they have an office that they work out of anyway so um it’s not really rapid in that regard like going over things it’s instantaneous that you can tell them your issues which you can get that off your chest however you might have to wait a bit longer to go over things and if you’re discussing things in therapy it’s gon na be you’re gon na state something and then they’re gon na state oh it’s this how you address this they’re gon na type of talk about it like a regular conversation however with talk space you might state this and then it might be 5 hours later on and after that they may state oh well this and then it’s sort of it takes a lot longer to talk much like if you’re making plans with your buddies you understand what I mean like you can call someone and you can say hey let’s do this isn’t this and let’s meet up here and you’re gon na be you know done with your discussion at 5 minutes whereas it may take like a half an hour to text that backward and forward so that’s just something excellent to consider you know something that did trouble me a little bit initially yeah the one good thing to it seems to be a great bit less expensive than going in to talk with somebody it’s about $200 a month around there I could put the real rate like here someone it’s about that price a month to have the live sessions and the texting and that includes for that package it is for half an hour live sessions each month so every week you’ll get a half an hour live session so I mean it is less time that you’re most likely talking really because like I stated it’s just half an hour and if you go to therapy you’re most likely going there for about an hour I would say so it’s less time for talking and but you get more support I would say so that’s sort of nice the app itself the interface is very easy to use I like it I do not have really any problems about it other than perhaps like you can’t see if they read it however like I think that doesn’t matter due to the fact that like they’re gon na react when they see it anyway so I don’t understand that was simply something I considered but that’s.

not extremely essential but total I do like the interface and personally my experience with my therapist has actually been great up until now um I suggest it is I would say another con in my opinion would be that it might be hard opening to these people even if you’re not there personally and you’re not personally rather as much as you would be with normal typical treatment so I think that it could be harder for people to open to their therapists if you have problem opening up to your therapist in the first place so that’s just something to consider I did mean to have a little bit of difficulty opening so it’s been something that I have actually been thinking about but I’m not exactly sure how much that actually is simply me having a problem opening up to people or the actual app so I’m sorry that the lighting got strange and I actually can’t make a video without whatever going wrong at the same time however back here so I simply wished to offer some like last thoughts I guess I do not desire this to be too long of a video I type of wanted to provide a short overview and then like if you want me to go more in depth about it I type of can like in an follow-up video or something like that basically I think it’s a great service I believe it does what it says it’s expected to do I think it’s a bit hard if you have some concerns that are look I think it’s really good for like tension type of stuff and I have not been having a lot of like that example like I have like been simply having a great deal of like think you’re not little however like smaller things than like my general stress and anxiety and like what triggers me and everything and like depressive thoughts so um yeah I imply I guess I must’ve said that earlier but I do have anxiety like generalized stress and anxiety and after that I don’t I’m not like detected or anything with anxiety um but I do certainly like depressive ideas and like I really like to say that I have anxiety however like that and I do also have seasonal depression which I haven’t utilized that for that long so I don’t know it’s summer season here so essentially I think it’s really good if you you know can’t make it to visits if you have a really hectic task or something like that I believe also another really excellent actually fantastic candidate to utilize talk area would be somebody who’s taking a trip a lot so or possibly you’re traveling overseas or if you just if you take a trip in general and you don’t have like access to one therapists all the time I think that would be an excellent thing well I continue to use it yes I will just because I have not. problems since they resemble things of your mind and they’re things that are like stressing you or things that are making nervous or depressed however I tend to find that it’s a little bit much better for simply more I’m really anxious about starting a new job I am truly distressed about you know graduating going to school you know stuff like that that’s not actually like existential things um however like I said if you are experiencing more just you’re going through some things then I think it would be great um it likewise depends on like how comfortable you are like speaking with a phone like I know that that sounds unusual but like do you video chat with your buddies do you you understand what I mean because if you don’t then I seem like it’s gon na be really odd like you holding up a phone or like talking with your laptop computer due to the fact that it’s gon na resemble this odd like artificial thing however like if you’re used to that then it’s kind of like alright whatever like this is normal that’s something I discovered I do talk on facetiming a bit so I seem like I’m kind of utilized to it but I seemed like when I was doing it this would be odd if I didn’t um so yeah like I stated I would certainly recommend it to anybody who takes a trip like full-time because that would be amazing like then you might actually have therapy if that’s not something that is an alternative to you.
